Approved curriculum

What the academy teaches, and how.

The syllabus for every pathway: modules, learning outcomes, the practical work and how a learner is assessed. Published here so it can be read and argued with before anybody pays for it.

This is the curriculum, not the catalogue

Nothing on this page is enrollable. A programme is documented and approved here first; it appears in the course catalogue only once its lessons, materials, trainer and assessments actually exist. The two are kept apart deliberately — a syllabus is a statement of intent, a catalogue entry is a promise that somebody can be taught next week.

The five pathways

What every lesson contains

A lesson is not a video with a PDF attached. This is the template each one follows.

  1. 01

    Introduction

The topic, why it matters in the industry, and what the learner should be able to do afterwards.

  2. 02

    Narrated instruction

A trainer explaining the material — not reading the slides aloud. Captions and a transcript.

  3. 03

    Illustrated materials

Diagrams, workflows, annotated screenshots and sample documents that support the objective.

  4. 04

    Demonstration

Where the topic is a procedure: the task, the steps, the result, and the mistakes people actually make.

  5. 05

    Guided exercise

Practice immediately, with the demonstration still available.

  6. 06

    Independent practice

The same skill again, unaided. This is the one that shows whether it landed.

  7. 07

    Knowledge check

Three to five questions, answers recorded, wrong answers explained.

  8. 08

    Summary

Key points, terminology, and the next step.

How marks are made up

Knowledge checks and quizzes15%
Practical exercises25%
Module assignments20%
Final practical project30%
Professional participation10%

Weights are configurable per programme. GDS training weights practical work more heavily.

What completion requires

  • All mandatory modules completed
  • All compulsory lessons completed
  • Mandatory practical exercises submitted
  • Required assignments graded and accepted
  • Final practical project submitted
  • Minimum overall score of 60%

Completion is earned, not bought. Paying for a course and opening every page is not completing it, and a certificate records demonstrated work rather than enrolment.

The order these are being written

  1. Travel Consultancy & Agency Operations

The entry programme, and the widest audience.

  2. GDS & Airline Reservations

Amadeus first: the specialist skill agencies ask for most.

  3. Tour Operations & Holiday Packaging

    Safari and tourism specialisation.

  4. Travel Agency Business Management

    Entrepreneurship and management.

  5. Specialist Travel Operations

    Advanced professional development.

None of them is published yet. A programme reaches the catalogue only after its narration scripts, illustrations, demonstrations, learner notes, exercises, answer keys, questions, examinations and marking guides are prepared and reviewed.
